Gallup-McKinley County Schools is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance work on all district schools, including carpentry, repairs, and installations of doors, windows, walkways, fences, and roofs. On-site attendance is mandatory, and candidates should have HVAC experience and a high school diploma.
The role requires compliance with the district’s maintenance standards and collaboration with the Maintenance & Operations department to ensure safe, functional school facilities.

To perform maintenance work on all district schools, carpentry, minor alteration and or repairs and installation, doors, windows, walkways, fences and roofs. All duties assigned.
experience required. Must have three (3) years of current verifiable experience in maintenance & HVAC
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade (High School Diploma required)
Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid New Mexico drivers license.

Office, shop and school environment, travel from site to site, airborne particles and vibration, and frequently works in outside weather conditions.
Essential functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for moderate to extremely heavy carrying, lifting, and pushing; reaching, climbing in high, precarious places, crawling, sitting, kneeling, standing and walking for extended periods of time, operation of motor vehicles; and subject to random drug testing.
