Job summary

The Laurel School District invites applications for an English Language Arts teaching position for grades 9-12. The successful candidate will plan engaging lessons and assess student progress in a collaborative, on-site setting.

Job description

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in education or related field required.
• 2. Qualify, at time of hire, for State of Delaware Middle Level English Language Arts Teacher (1531) or Secondary English Language Arts Teacher (1540) valid in grades 9-12 required.
• 3. Qualify, at time of hire, for State of Delaware certification as a Special Education Teacher of Students with Disabilities (1571) or Alternative Route to Certification (ARTC) eligible required.
• 4. Applicant must demonstrate a level of knowledge and/or experience appropriate to the position.
• 5. Favorable criminal background and child protection registry check for the candidate offered employment required.
• 6 Tuberculin test required.
• 7. Participation in Direct Deposit required.
