Job summary

The Illinois Association of School Administrators is seeking a Full Time, 10-month School Nurse Paraprofessional to deliver direct nursing services to students and staff, promoting health and wellness within the school community.

Responsibilities include assisting teachers, monitoring classrooms for safety and engagement, and performing typical student activities. State certification as a RN and paraprofessional is required by Illinois law.

Qualifications

• State Certified Registered Nurse and Paraprofessional certification required by Illinois.
• To obtain paraprofessional certificate, pass Work Keys test or have 60 college hours.

Job description

Full Time (10month position) To provide direct nursing services to students and staff members to maximize health and wellness in the school community.

All duties are preformed in accordance with thedistrict/board registered nurse.

Assist teacher with students. Help monitor classroom to assure a safe, nurturing and engaging learning environment. You must be able to lift 50lbs, climb stairs and complete other typical student activities.

Qualifications

State Certified Registered Nurse and Paraprofessional. Certification is required by the State of Illinois.
To obtain a paraprofessional certificate you must pass a Work-Keys test or have 60 college accredited hours.
