Position Title: 2026-2027 Elementary Teacher

Position Type: Full Time

Number of Positions: 1

Salary Range: 45,000-64,000.00 depending on degree level, certification status and certified years of service.

Start Date: 2026-08-06

Location: 3145 Medical Plaza Drive, Garland, TX, USA

Provide high-quality learning experiences in assigned subject areas that support students’ intellectual, emotional, physical, and social development. Through effective instruction and support, teachers promote academic excellence, Islamic character, and leadership, preparing students to become practicing Muslim leaders, lifelong learners, and responsible citizens in alignment with Brighter Horizons Academy’s mission and Texas Education Agency (TEA) standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Instruction & Planning
  • Develop and deliver standards-aligned lesson plans
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
  • Use effective instructional strategies and technology
  • Maintain evidence of lesson preparation
2. Student Development
  • Support academic, social, emotional, and Islamic character development
  • Encourage leadership, responsibility, and positive behavior
  • Serve as a positive role model
3. Assessment & Progress Monitoring
  • Assess student learning and maintain accurate records
  • Provide timely feedback and post grades promptly
  • Use data to inform instruction and improve outcomes
4. Classroom Management
  • Maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment
  • Manage student behavior in accordance with school policies
  • Ensure student supervision and safety
  • Communicate professionally with parents and respond within 24 hours
  • Participate in conferences, meetings, and school events
  • Collaborate with colleagues and administration
6. School & Community Engagement
  • Support school activities, programs, and events
  • Foster positive relationships within the school community
  • Participate in extracurricular and assigned duties
7. Professional Responsibilities
  • Attend required meetings, trainings, and professional development
  • Maintain accurate student records and documentation
  • Report concerns promptly and follow established procedures
8. Additional Duties
  • Accept additional responsibilities as assigned by the administration
