Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean.
• Sweeps classrooms daily and dusts furniture and windowsills.
• Cleans corridors after school day or during the day when needed.
• Cleans toilets and drinking fountains daily, disinfecting fixtures.
• Cleans windows and glass areas inside and outside regularly.
• Keeps grounds free of rubbish.
• Performs chores to maintain safe, attractive school grounds.
• Protects and maintains tools and equipment.
• Follows safety codes and regulations.
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance.
• Supports the district mission and plan.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Goal:

To help maintain the physical school plants in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use may be made at all times

Typical Duties And Responsibilities

• Keeps building and premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and always play areas neat and clean
• Sweeps classrooms daily and dust furniture and windowsills
• Cleans corridors after school day/during the day when their condition requires it
• Scrubs, hoses down, disinfect toilet floors, and clean all sanitary fixtures and drinking fountains daily
• Cleans windows and other glass areas on the inside and outside on a regular
• Keeps the ground free of rubbish
• Performs such chores as necessary to maintain the school grounds in a safe and attractive condition
• Protect and maintain tools and equipment
• Follow safety codes and regulations
• Demonstrates prompt and regular attendance
• Supports the Hattiesburg Public School District Mission, Vision, and Strategic Plan
• Performs other duties as assigned
