Job summary

The North Platte Public Schools is accepting applications for Bus Driving for the 2026-2027 term. If hired you will be trained on all the buses North Platte Public Schools operates, including Coach Buses, Activity Buses, Yellow Buses and Small 14 passenger Buses.

A CDL is required to drive, and a background check must be passed. Applicant must be able to lift 75 pounds, follow both oral and written instructions, and have a current Nebraska driver's license.

Qualifications

• Current Nebraska driver’s license.
• Able to lift 75 pounds.
• Pass a background check.
• Willingness to be trained on district buses.

Responsibilities

• Drive school buses including coach, activity, yellow, and small 14-passenger buses as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and district policies while transporting students.
