Hours:

• ESY for BDLC/M.S. Scope/ M.S. & H.S. Essential Skills/CBT/5-12 Resource Room: Monday - Thursday, July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025. Hours: 7:15 am - 11:45 am (hours may vary depending on assignment/site)
• ESY in for K-5 Inclusion: E.S. Essential Skills & E.S. SCOPE. Monday – Thursday, July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025. Hours: 7:45 am - 12:45 pm (hours may vary depending on assignment/site))
• ESY Pre-K: Monday – Thursday, July 7, 2025 - July 31, 2025.
  AM hours: 7:45 am - 10:30 am
  PM hours: 11:00 am - 1:45 pm (hours may vary depending on assignment/site))
• ESY Autism and CBL Programs: Monday – Friday, July 7, 2025 - August 1, 2025.
  Elementary Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (hours may vary depending on assignment/site))

Middle School and High School hours: 7:15 am - 12:15 pm (hours may vary depending on assignment/site)

Mandatory professional learning will be held on July 1 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. A Google Meet link will be sent out at a later date.

Reports to: EAS or ESY Site Administrator

Job Description:

• Develop lessons based on IEP goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of students.
• Provide direct instruction using a variety of techniques.
• Communicate with the school team, parents, guardians, and outside agencies regarding student progress.
• Ensure modifications and accommodations are implemented throughout the day.
• Manage student behavior; follow behavior plans, implement behavior contracts, and set up classroom behavior plans.
• Use district-approved tools to design small group instruction.
• Provide differentiated instruction based on student needs.
• Maintain student attendance and progress data.
• Complete ESY progress reports at the end of the program, upload on CT-SEDS, and share with parents/guardians/surrogates.
• Use appropriate technologies to support student learning, including Google Classroom, Kami, and Atlas curriculum sites.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the summer school administrator.

Certification: Applicants must have appropriate special education certification for the position.

Salary: Per WTA Contract for Certified Teachers. Maximum hours are as stated above.
