Position: 2025-2026 Full-Time Theology Teacher

Position Description: Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking a full-time Theology teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. The role involves instruction of five sections of Theology courses aligned with school standards within a modified block schedule. The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive and positive classroom environment, actively engage students, and promote high academic achievement. We are a private Catholic high school rooted in the Holy Cross tradition, emphasizing diversity, community, and lifelong learning.

Position Responsibilities:

1. Create authentic assessments that promote student growth with consistent feedback.
2. Integrate technology effectively into lessons and classroom activities.
3. Utilize various instructional methods to meet course objectives.
4. Foster a respectful classroom culture and build positive relationships with students.
5. Evaluate student needs and report progress as scheduled.
6. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
7. Maintain compliance with school policies to ensure a safe environment.
8. Participate in school events such as open houses and conferences.
9. Demonstrate effective communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
10. Maintain confidentiality of privileged information.

Position Qualifications:

1. Valid Ohio high school teaching license.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
3. Valid Catholic high school catechist certificate or eligibility to acquire one.
4. Proficiency with school technology (software, Google tools, etc.).
5. Criminal background check clearance and VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training.
