2025-26 Teacher Early Childhood Special Education- Beattie

This position is for the 2025-26 school year, with the start date to be determined and announced once the 2025-26 calendars are approved.

Job Summary:

Responsible for creating a conducive learning environment for three- and four-year-olds with disabilities or at high risk, implementing a comprehensive, individualized preschool curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, plan, prepare, and implement curriculum, classroom materials, activities, and lesson plans.
  • Create meaningful programs for parents and families.
  • Set and monitor IEP goals, objectives, and transition plans.
  • Administer assessments to evaluate student strengths and needs.
  • Create a classroom environment that maximizes instructional opportunities, supervises student behavior, and administers discipline when necessary.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, adapting supports as needed.
  • Maintain documentation of academic, social, and emotional progress and communicate with families and staff.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and other providers to enhance instruction and student outcomes.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and extracurricular activities, and support district policies and professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
