Position Overview

• Implementing innovative pedagogy, co-teaching practices, and data-based decision-making.
• Creating a structured and welcoming classroom culture supporting virtue development.

• Managing multiple responsibilities while inspiring student achievement.
• Building meaningful relationships with students, families, and colleagues to foster a love of learning.

Core Competencies & Responsibilities

Brilla's Middle School ELA Teachers are content experts who foster environments where all scholars access grade-level standards and demonstrate growth. Responsibilities include:

• Participating in professional development and coaching cycles.
• Analyzing student work and data to inform instruction.
• Setting standards and regularly evaluating student progress.
• Internalizing the Wit and Wisdom curriculum and delivering rigorous lessons.
• Collaborating with teachers and engaging families to support student success.

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to the mission of Brilla Schools.
• Dedication to providing a joyful, rigorous learning environment.
• Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Current teaching certification in Middle School and/or ELA (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Relevant experience with demonstrated results (preferred).
• Special Education credential and experience (preferred).
• Spanish proficiency (preferred).
