What You’ll Do
As a Spanish II Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
Deliver Excellent Instruction
Create and implement rigorous, standards-aligned Spanish lessons that engage scholars in speaking, listening, reading, and writing in Spanish.
Infuse cultural elements and global perspectives into your lessons to build scholars’ appreciation for the Spanish-speaking world.
Use ongoing data analysis to monitor scholar progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Foster a Positive Learning Environment
Build a classroom culture rooted in respect, joy, and academic urgency.
Develop strong classroom routines and procedures that support scholar independence and focus.
Implement culturally responsive teaching practices that affirm and reflect scholars’ diverse identities.
Collaborate for Scholar Success
Participate in weekly professional development and content planning meetings.
Partner with colleagues to support cross-curricular learning and school-wide goals.
Maintain regular communication with families about scholar growth, needs, and celebrations.
Support Growth and Belonging
Provide consistent, high-quality feedback to scholars to promote language acquisition and confidence.
Help scholars set and achieve ambitious academic and personal goals.
Serve as an advisor or club sponsor to build deeper relationships with scholars and contribute to school culture.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (required).
Valid teaching license in Spanish or enrollment in a state-accredited Alternative Certification Program by start of employment (preferred).
Proficiency in Spanish and familiarity with language instruction best practices.
Prior experience teaching Spanish or working in a high school setting (preferred, but not required).
