Salary Range: $50,000.00 - $59,500.00 USD annually

Role Overview: ASU Prep Digital Teachers are responsible for making knowledge accessible, developing students' cognitive capacities, implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), fostering self-esteem, motivation, civic responsibility, and leadership. They are also involved in professional growth, developing instructional materials and strategies, coordinating with classroom assistants and volunteers, implementing policies, and communicating with parents about academic and disciplinary matters.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Bachelors in Education from an accredited institution, or meets Highly Qualified requirements per the Arizona Department of Education.
  • Valid State Teaching Certificate; AZ preferred (endorsements may be required based on subject area); or passed AEPA/NES exams.
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and current AZ Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Professional verification of successful teaching performance or student teaching experience.
  • Equivalent experience, training, and education considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver instruction across various subjects including reading, writing, math, science, social studies, languages, health, and arts, adapting methods to meet student needs.
  • Maintain open communication with parents/guardians regarding academic and disciplinary issues.
  • Attend regularly and punctually.
  • Create lesson plans and substitute plans aligned with learning objectives and school guidelines.
  • Develop and adjust ILPs based on assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance and progress, and assess comprehension of learning objectives.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
  • Support student well-being in decision-making.
  • Engage in professional development and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Maintain a conducive learning environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Location: Digital

Travel: Occasional travel for site visits, meetings, training, or conferences, possibly overnight.
