License Required: Minnesota K-6 or 1-6 Elementary Education

Available Assignments: Grade 4, 1.0 FTE (Filled); Grade 5, 1.0 FTE (Available)

Compensation

Details available in the 2024-25 teacher salary schedule, Appendix -a-, Schedule A. Position includes medical and dental benefits.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop lesson plans and instructional materials; provide individualized and small group instruction.
  2. Translate lesson plans into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  3. Establish and maintain standards of pupil behavior.
  4. Evaluate pupils' academic and social growth; keep records; prepare progress reports.
  5. Identify pupil needs; make referrals; develop strategies for individual education plans.
  6. Communicate regularly with parents via Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
  7. Collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
  8. Participate in professional development activities.
  9. Integrate technology into instruction.
  10. Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate in a fast-paced environment involving students, staff, and community.
  2. Support and communicate with administrators and staff.
  3. Respond to emergency situations.
  4. Follow school district policies.
  5. Coordinate work of paraprofessionals and volunteers.
  6. Contribute to goal-setting for paraprofessionals.
