KIPP NYC seeks passionate College Success Fellows to support recent graduates from partner high schools in their first two years of college. This full-time role involves coaching, mentorship, and data management to help students achieve their academic goals. Fellows will receive training and career coaching support, all while working closely with college staff and alumni to ensure successful transitions into higher education.

KIPP Forward accepts applications from exceptional recent or soon-to-be college graduates to join our two-year College Success Fellows program. As full-time employees with a salary of $60,406 and full benefits, Fellows work passionately and tirelessly to ensure that recent graduates of our partner high schools receive outstanding support through their first two years of college, with the ultimate goal of persisting and accumulating 60 credits to stay on track for on-time degree completion. Throughout their two-year commitment, Fellows engage in regular training and receive consistent and direct feedback from their managers, who are skilled college and career success practitioners that help Fellows grow professionally.
The Western, NY College Success Fellow will be assigned to schools within a 3-hour drive from Buffalo, Ithaca, Syracuse, or Rochester. This Fellow must reside in the Western, NY area during the academic year of the fellowship. The role involves frequent travel to college campuses, with all transportation costs covered by KIPP Forward. Fellows provide coaching, mentorship, and direct support to alumni through 1:1 advisement sessions and regular touchpoints, assessing progress using our "Persistence Benchmarks" which measure financial health, academic habits, socio-emotional health, and career planning. The goal is to help alumni make positive progress in these areas.
The fellowship runs from July 2025 to June 2027. At the end of the program, employment with KIPP NYC terminates. Fellows will receive career coaching support during their second year to prepare for future employment.
