EPS serves over 8,000 students in a supportive community of 50,000.
District Administration Magazine recently named EPS a national District of Distinction for its community partnerships. In 2014, we completed $99 million in renovations and construction, including two new elementary schools. Local voters approved another $93 million to enhance classrooms, safety, technology, and facilities for athletics and arts. We promote innovative learning with iPads, Chromebooks, and SMART Boards, providing 1:1 devices for students.
In 2013, EPS opened its University Center on the Enid High campus, offering dual credit and AP courses that can save students over $30,000 in college expenses. Our AP enrollment has quadrupled recently.
Our youngest students benefit from full-day Pre-K classes, including an intergenerational program. A recent campaign and grant created Enid’s first early childhood center. We also have a learning lab for four-year-olds at NWOSU-Enid. Our district’s strength lies in our highly effective teachers and support staff, who continually improve instruction through Professional Learning Communities.
Community involvement is strong, with volunteers and over $6.5 million in private funds raised for special projects in recent years.
Guided by a three-year strategic plan developed with input from our community, we are committed to shaping the future of our district. We invite you to join us on this journey!
