Location: Britton Elementary School
The teacher will provide learning experiences in pre-reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, physical education, and music, using the Oklahoma State Department of Education curriculum and other appropriate activities. Responsibilities include instructing pupils in citizenship and basic subjects, developing lesson plans, utilizing effective grading patterns, establishing standards of pupil behavior, evaluating student growth, communicating with parents, and creating a positive learning environment. The role also involves supervising students during out-of-class activities and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, Oklahoma Teaching Certification in Elementary Education or an approved alternative, effective communication skills, ability to establish positive relationships, manual dexterity, visual and hearing acuity, and physical ability to perform duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds. Flexibility to work outside regular hours may be required. The work environment is a well-lit, climate-controlled office setting.
