Summary
Plan instruction and assessment aligned with District learner outcomes and State achievement standards. Supervise students and maintain a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs, fostering student achievement. Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize effective teaching practices to deliver the adopted curricula, modifying as necessary for individual student needs.
- Develop lesson plans and instruct using adopted and supplemental materials.
- Use assessments to evaluate student learning and report results per district policies.
- Promote character education, citizenship, responsible behavior, and conflict resolution.
- Implement and update IEPs, 504 Plans, and Behavior Support Plans; attend related meetings.
- Ensure student safety during activities involving chemicals, tools, or equipment, including use of protective gear.
- Maintain an orderly, positive classroom environment, managing behavior proactively.
- Communicate with families about student progress and foster positive school community relations.
- Assist with developing behavior, health, safety, and crisis plans as needed.
- Comply with all relevant laws, policies, and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Maintain punctuality and complete reports promptly.
- Protect district property and report child abuse or neglect.
- Use district internet and email systems responsibly.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related subject from an accredited university.
- Colorado Teaching License with appropriate endorsements.
- Pass the PLACE or PRAXIS II Test.
- Meet CDE and ESSA requirements for In-Field Teacher.
