Reports to the School Principal

Job Function:

The middle school teacher will teach 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students in subjects including Religion (Old Testament), Science, Reading (Literature & Novel Studies), and Social Studies. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assigning and grading homework, managing students, and communicating with families.

Requirements:

• Applicants must submit clearances, a teacher application, cover letter, and resume.
• Must be a practicing Catholic in good standing and agree to live by the tenets of the Catholic faith.
• Bachelor's degree in Education, Theology, History, English, or equivalent.
• PA Middle-Level certificate in Social Studies/History required.
• Previous teaching and working with children experience preferred.
• Ability to handle classroom situations with fairness and patience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Clear records of background checks and attendance at required training prior to interview.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
