Position Details

• Classroom Teacher Relationship: Directly responsible to school principal or designee.
• Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Provide planned instruction in each assigned subject.
  2. Follow the course of study specified in state law and district regulations.
  3. Encourage maximum growth for each student through engaging learning experiences.
  4. Select and utilize appropriate district-provided materials for students and subjects.
  5. Evaluate students’ academic and social progress, maintain records, and communicate with parents and staff.
  6. Identify student needs and collaborate with professional staff to address health, behavioral, and learning issues.
  7. Maintain required student records.
  8. Participate in faculty meetings and district professional development activities.
  9. Foster professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Management of Learning Environment and Control:
  1. Establish classroom control conducive to effective learning.
  2. Promote responsibility and self-control among students.
  3. Create an environment that encourages inquiry, self-expression, and growth.
• Other Duties:
  1. Supervise pupils in out-of-class activities and participate in faculty responsibilities.
  2. Support student activities aligned with teacher interests and school needs.
  3. Engage in curriculum development and community relations.
  4. Perform required business services.
