A leading school district is seeking a Cafeteria Cashier to manage point of sale registers during meal service and assist in food preparation. The role involves ensuring high standards of food quality and safety, along with maintaining financial records. Primary Purpose:
Runs point of sale registers during meal service, performs daily reconciliation, handles money, and assists in food preparation as needed. Maintains high standards of food quality, sanitation, and safety practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED preferred. ServSafe certification or obtain within 90 days of employment. Satisfactory background check required; non-refundable fee (~$50) paid by employee.
Required Experience:
Completion of sanitation course before or during first year. Experience in food service or cashiering preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Understanding of food prep and safety instructions. Knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production. Ability to operate kitchen tools, perform basic math, and communicate effectively.
