Description
Propel seeks an Elementary Science Teacher (Grades 4-6) for the 2025-2026 school year. Propel schools operate with an extended school year to increase learning time and opportunities for our scholars. We have 190 instructional days and 30 professional development days for a total of 220 work days annually.
- Compensation: Propel provides a competitive salary for teachers, with a range of $49,985 - $100,460 based on relevant prior work experience.
- Relocation Allowance: Available for new hires moving from 90 miles away or further.
- Health Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision plan options at a low cost for individual employees and families.
- Retirement: Participation in a 403(b) with Propel contributing 5% automatically and matching up to 4% after 5 years.

Job Summary
This Teacher position is responsible for collaborating with administrators and staff to lead students to learning success and developing curriculum based on the Pennsylvania Common Core Standards.
- Design coherent instruction aligned with state standards and best practices.
- Develop and update learning resources and participate in professional development.
- Create a respectful instructional environment that promotes a culture of learning.
- Use various instructional strategies to engage students.
- Manage student behavior and classroom procedures effectively.
- Assess student learning and utilize that information to drive instruction.
- Implement student IEPs and participate in the special education process as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress according to school policy.
- Prepare and achieve annual performance expectations.
- Communicate regularly with families and respond in a timely manner.

- Valid PA certification in the corresponding content area.
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to walk around the classroom at least 75% of the time.
- Constantly operate a computer and other technology in the classroom.
- Frequently communicate with stakeholders regarding curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
- Assist students in daily personal tasks when developmentally appropriate.
