Job Description

Position Overview

The Dean is responsible for ensuring high-quality curricula development and fostering a positive, structured, and disciplined school culture. They ensure engaging and rigorous learning experiences, coordinate curriculum with the Teaching & Learning team, coach teachers, assess performance, coordinate professional development, and support operational needs. Building strong relationships with faculty, students, and families is essential. The Dean reports to the Principal.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Curriculum and Assessment
  • Develop and implement standards-based curriculum aligned with school values and mission.
  • Set and monitor student performance goals and analyze data for targeted interventions.
  • Lead content team meetings.
  1. School Culture
  • Collaborate on creating a positive, achievement-oriented school environment.
  • Lead values integration and character development initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility and presence during school hours to reinforce culture.
  1. Student Discipline
  • Model positive interactions and discipline strategies.
  • Recognize student achievements and communicate with families regularly.
  • Manage school-wide behavior plans and support individual behavior strategies.
  1. Teacher Coaching and Professional Development
  • Plan and deliver ongoing professional development focused on student relationships and classroom management.
  • Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback.
  • Evaluate teacher performance and coordinate with the Principal.
  • Organize summer training and celebrate staff growth.
  1. Operational Support
  • Teach classes as needed for coverage or professional development.
  • Collaborate on scheduling and student placements.
  • Ensure timely completion of reports and participate in hiring processes.
