2025-2026 Early Childhood Education Teacher

Position Overview

Create a flexible program and a class environment conducive to learning and personal growth. Establish effective rapport with pupils, motivate them to develop skills, attitudes, and knowledge needed for a solid educational foundation, and build good relationships with parents and staff.

Essential Duties
  • Provide learning experiences in pre-reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art, physical education, and music based on the adopted curriculum.
  • Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subjects as per state law and district regulations.
  • Develop lesson plans and instructional materials suitable for diverse learning needs.
  • Translate lesson plans into engaging learning experiences, utilizing available time effectively.
  • Administer fair grading patterns based on clear criteria.
  • Maintain standards of pupil behavior to foster effective participation while respecting pupils' dignity.
  • Evaluate pupils' academic and social progress, keep records, and prepare reports.
  • Communicate with parents via various channels, hold conferences, and interpret the school program positively.
  • Identify pupil needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning issues.
  • Establish rapport and create a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment.
  • Create attractive displays and interest centers to enhance the learning environment.
  • Supervise students during out-of-class activities, including cafeteria duty, field trips, and playground supervision.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including potential work at alternative sites during health crises or disruptions.
Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
  • Oklahoma Teaching Certification in Elementary Education or approved alternative certification.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with students, staff, parents, and community.
  • Ability to work cooperatively, demonstrate self-discipline, and follow guidelines.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Manual dexterity, visual acuity, hearing, and speech capabilities appropriate for teaching duties.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, sit for extended periods, and work outside normal hours if needed.

Work Environment:

  • Work performed in a well-lit, climate-controlled environment.
