Day Porter/Custodian - Little Rock

Location: 6423 Stagecoach Road, Little Rock, AR 72204

Salary Range: $14.00-16.00/hr. DOE

The Academies of Math and Science (AMS) is a network of top-rated, public K-8 charter schools in Arizona with 20 years of operation. AMS Arkansas is our first out-of-state expansion, serving students and families in Little Rock. Responsibilities

  1. Assess all areas of the school and clean as necessary.
  2. Prepare and stage cleaning supplies.
  3. Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  4. Follow chemical handling laws and safety regulations; ensure a safe environment.
  5. Interact professionally with school administration.
  6. Clean and maintain various building facilities.
  7. Perform room set-ups for meetings and events, including daily cafeteria setup.
  8. Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors.
  9. Clean and polish walls, ceilings, windows, and fixtures.
  10. Launder towels and mop heads.
  11. Dust furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.
  12. Empty trash throughout the campus, including exterior areas.
  13. Clean and sanitize bathrooms daily.
  14. Service cleaning equipment daily and as needed.
  15. Apply wax or sealers to floors as directed.
  16. Assist in building security tasks.
  17. Perform routine maintenance like changing bulbs and filters.
  18. Notify management of supply needs and major repairs.
  19. Operate and understand cleaning machinery and tools.
  20. Follow HAZMAT regulations and maintain Safety Data Sheets.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
