Primary Purpose:
Coordinates and manages the Texas student assessment program and local assessments to meet student and campus needs. Responsible for all aspects of campus testing programs including planning, training, communication, organization, materials management, security, and administration of state and local testing, norm-referenced, and advanced placement testing. Analyzes data related to campus, student achievement, and instructional improvement. Acts as an instructional leader in program development and improvement. Organizes and oversees campus intervention, remediation, and tutorial services.
Education / Certification:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; Master's Degree preferred.
- Valid Texas teaching certificate.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of state End of Course assessments, ACT, SAT, TSI, and AP programs.
- Knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
- Strong planning, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Ability to evaluate program effectiveness and compliance.
- Experience managing budgets and personnel.
- Ability to coordinate testing-related campus functions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff involved in testing.
Experience:
- At least three years of teaching experience in relevant subject matter.
- Prior experience as a campus testing coordinator in a high school setting.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Instructional Management
- Serve as Campus Testing Coordinator, overseeing statewide assessments (STAAR EOC, TAKS, TELPAS, retests), including staff training, materials ordering, testing room prep, and documentation.
- Collaborate with campus leadership on assessment logistics.
- Stay current with testing procedures through district trainings.
- Coordinate AP, SAT, PSAT, ACT, and NAEP testing.
- Manage local assessments and Eduphoria scoring/scanning.
- Ensure proper handling of testing materials and compliance with guidelines.
- Train staff and provide technical support for testing procedures.
- Oversee secure administration of assessments and address issues promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of testing accommodations and results.
- Manage assessment data reporting and communication to impact instruction.
- Communicate with parents and students about remediation and retesting.
- Serve as liaison to District Testing Coordinator and facilitate testing technology use.
Leadership
- Provide leadership and support through effective communication.
- Collaborate with campus leadership and district staff.
- Participate in school improvement and compliance activities.
- Support students, parents, and community engagement.
Policy, Reports, and Law
- Implement policies from federal, state, and local authorities.
- Maintain reports and records as required.
- Contribute to policy development to enhance testing programs.
Budget and Inventory
- Prepare budget estimates based on program needs.
- Ensure cost-effective testing operations.
- Maintain inventory and secure testing materials.

Working Conditions:
Prolonged sitting, occasional physical activity, and environmental considerations. May require irregular hours and travel.
