The Big Ten Network Brand Ambassador Program raises brand awareness geared specifically towards each Big Ten campus's student body and fan base. The Brand Ambassador Program will give students an opportunity to be an extension of the Big Ten Network on their respective campuses while learning what it takes to work on-site at Big Ten events/games and exclusively represent the Big Ten Network brand. Brand Ambassadors will report directly to the Chicago-based Manager of Marketing, and will be based at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, NE.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support on-site activations at major sporting events to ensure effective engagement and promotion of the Big Ten Network brand
Plan, organize, and execute on-campus events, maximizing student and fan interaction with the Big Ten Network
Take part in Big Ten Network-specific events, such as Big Ten Tailgate, ensuring brand visibility and positive audience experiences
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be actively enrolled in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree during the length of the program
Current class standing of sophomore, (second-year college student) or above and on-campus throughout the entire school year (excluding holiday breaks)
Strong academic record
Must be available most weekends, especially during Football and Basketball season
Cannot conflict with other internships
Committed and available to work for the entire length of the program
Access to own housing and transportation to/from BTN events
STUDENTS SELECTED TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS:
Must demonstrate knowledge of the company and sports media industry

Scheduled Weekly Hours:16 - 24 hours per week

A self-starter attitude and proactive nature
Students studying marketing, communications, public relations, and journalism are preferred
A detail-oriented nature with strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
