Position Objective

This is the entry level of the administrative support series. The role requires knowledge of basic clerical functions, data input, and customer service principles. Responsibilities include filing, faxing, copying, directing phone and walk-in customers, basic data entry, and mail distribution.

Pay Grade and Status

Pay Grade: G
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service by responding to requests from parents, students, staff, and the public; communicate District policies and procedures.
  • Enter information into databases, spreadsheets, and related computer programs.
  • File documents related to assigned activities.
  • Perform routine clerical duties such as filing, faxing, copying, answering/transferring calls.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Compile routine reports from databases and records, and distribute them.
  • Prepare routine correspondence and form letters.
  • Perform other similar duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: High School Diploma or G.E.D., and one year of office or customer service experience, or equivalent combination.
