Fifth/Sixth Grade Classroom Teacher
Saint Francis Classical Catholic Academy in Bally, Pennsylvania (SFCCA), a new independent school in its second year of operations, is seeking a joyful, faith-filled, and intellectually inspiring educator to become its new Fifth/Sixth Grade Teacher for the 25-26 Academic Year. Located on the beautiful campus of Most Blessed Sacrament Parish (MBS), the oldest Catholic church in the original Thirteen Colonies (1741), SFCCA operates with the full blessing of the Diocese of Allentown. The school continues a legacy of evangelization and catechesis dating back to 1743, aiming to form missionary disciples to spread the Gospel.
In its first year, SFCCA attracted 50 students from 30 families across grades PK-8. Enrollment has doubled to over 100 students from 50 families, including a new high school program. To serve this growing community, an additional Fifth/Sixth Grade Teacher is needed.
SFCCA emphasizes an authentic Catholic education rooted in the New Evangelization movement, viewing parents as primary educators and focusing on forming 'Smart Saints' through truth, beauty, goodness, prayer, and worship, with Christ at the center.
The ideal candidate is devoutly Catholic, preferably trained in a Classical Catholic school setting, with experience or interest in teaching a curriculum that covers history of Western civilization, catechesis, classical literature, Latin, and other elements of the trivium and quadrivium. The teacher is expected to teach most of these subjects.
