The Town of Milford seeks dependable Seasonal Laborers and Truck Drivers for the Public Works Department. Responsibilities include landscaping and maintenance activities in various environments. Ideal candidates will demonstrate reliable work history and safety awareness. Starting pay ranges from $18 to $23 per hour based on experience.
The Milford Department of Public Works is seeking energetic, dependable and conscientious individual(s) to fill the position(s) of Seasonal Laborers and/or Seasonal Truck Drivers within our Public Works Department.
Duties will include landscaping, grounds & building maintenance, construction activities and other tasks as assigned throughout our Parks, Cemeteries and Highway Departments. Work is performed inside and out of doors in an environment which includes exposure to physical elements and/or to a number of disagreeable working conditions.
Laborer Experience - Prefer minimum of 6 (six) months experience performing laboring, grounds keeping or building maintenance work; OR any combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skill and abilities. Starting pay will be commensurate with position/experience - $18.00/hr - $20.00/DOE. Hours generally will be 6:30/7:00 a.m. to 3:00/3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, May to October. Seasonal positions.
CDL Experience - Applicants holding a CDL encouraged to apply. NH CLASS B CDL required for some functions, CLASS A CDL preferred. Starting pay will be commensurate with position/experience - $23.00/hr DOE. Hours generally will be 6:30/7:00 a.m. to 3:00/3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, May to October. Seasonal positions.
Requirements - High School diploma or equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age, possess a valid NH Driver's License, have a steady/dependable work history and be safety conscious.
