Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3+ years (or associate with 3+; HS with 5+) in relevant field.
• Proficiency in project control concepts, cost engineering, forecasting, budgeting, risk management.
• Experience with Primavera P6, Maximo, PowerPlan, C-55, SharePoint.
• PMI or AACE certification a strong plus.
• Ability to obtain plant access and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor cost, schedule baselines, and KPIs; propose improvements.
• Prepare financial reports, forecasts, accruals, and journal vouchers.
• Support project initiation, funding, change requests, budgeting, and closeouts.
• Coordinate with engineering, plant operations, and contractors using PM tools.

Now Hiring: Project Control Specialist B (TVA Contract)

Location: Chattanooga, TN (Corporate Office / 1101 Market Street) Duration: 11-Month Contract (Start: October 2026 – Sept 2027) Pay Rate: Up to $56.00 / hour (Dependent on experience) Client: Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) via Johnson Service Group (JSG)

Position Overview

Are you an analytical, highly organized professional with a strong background in cost engineering, scheduling, and project performance monitoring? We are looking for a Project Control Specialist B to support major initiatives at the TVA corporate office in Chattanooga! In this role, you will independently plan, execute, and monitor project controls, track cost and schedule baselines, and drive financial forecasting and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring & Tracking: Track progress, KPIs, and cost/schedule trends against baselines to recommend performance improvements.
• Reporting & Administration: Prepare financial reports, risk assessments, monthly forecasting, accruals, and journal vouchers.
• Project Lifecycle Support: Assist with project initiation, funding requests, change requests, business planning budgets, and closeouts.
• Field & Cross-Functional Interface: Coordinate with engineering, plant operations, and contractors while utilizing advanced project management tools.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)

• Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Accounting, Economics, or a related field + 3+ years of related experience. (OR Associate’s degree + 3 years, OR High School Diploma/GED + 5 years minimum experience).
• Core Skills: Proficiency in project control concepts, cost engineering, risk management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Tech Preferences: Experience with Primavera (P6), Maximo, PowerPlan, C-55, and SharePoint is heavily preferred. Bonus points for PowerBI, PowerAutomate, PowerApps, or GIS skills!
• Certifications: Project Management Institute (PMI) or AACE certification is a strong plus.
• Requirements: Ability to obtain/maintain unescorted plant access and medical qualifications; willingness to travel to field locations or support on-call/overtime rotation during peak periods as required.
