Nucor Technical Academy offers a training program for individuals with a high school diploma (or GED) to become a Maintenance Electrician within 27 months. Selected candidates will relocate to Tuscaloosa, Alabama for initial training and may return to sponsoring divisions for hands-on assignments.

Safety policies are emphasized throughout the program, with structured coursework and on-the-job experience. Applicants must have a 2.75 GPA or higher, submit ACT/SAT/Accuplacer scores if available,

• GPA 2.75 preferred during high school.
• ACT, SAT or Accuplacer scores should be uploaded if available.
• One-page essay explaining work history and goals.
• Willingness questionnaire and Shelton State Community College application are required.

Responsibilities
