Job summary

COFFEE COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM seeks a Special Education Teacher Assistant to support instructors in delivering instruction and implementing IEP goals within the classroom. The role emphasizes assisting with instructional activities, preparing materials, and providing targeted support to students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assists teachers in classroom activities with students providing instructional assistance and support services.

• Provides individual or small group instruction to students to reinforce learning objectives as stated in IEP.
• Supervises class in teacher's absence as needed.
• Provides clerical support within the school as needed.
• Attend to personal needs of Students with Disabilities when necessary.
• Assist physically challenged children with mobility issues.
