Job summary

Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, MO is seeking a CCU RN/GN to provide specialized care for critically ill patients. The RN/GN will assess, monitor, and respond to patient needs, including Cardiac and Hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and management of pacemakers or related devices.

Reporting to the Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Director, the role requires 7pm–7am shifts every other weekend, totaling 72 hours per two-week period, with emphasis on teamwork, safety, and exceptional

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Missouri
• Current BLS and CPR certifications
• ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC within 1 year of hire
• 12-Lead EKG preferred
• One-year exp in medical/surgical or ECCO preferred

• Provides leadership for the unit by organizing and prioritizing care and collaborating with others to ensure continuity of care.
• Holds self and staff accountable for performance and continuous improvement of patient outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care.

JOB SUMMARY

The RN / GN must have the skill and knowledge to provide population specific care. He/She must have the ability to assess, evaluate, identify, and interpret the requirement and needs of the critically ill patients and perform based on those findings. Care includes but is not limited to: Cardiac Monitoring, Hemodynamic Monitoring, Ventilator dependent patient (Acute and long term), Temporary and permanent pacemakers, Balloon pump.

The RN / GN reports directly to Charge Nurse/Supervisor/Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• RN graduate of Accredited School of Nursing

Licensure/Certification:

• Must have a valid, current license by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) required
• Basic Dysrhythmia class
• ACLS Provider within 1 year of hire
• PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire
• Prefer 12-Lead EKG
• TNCC or ATCN within 1 year of hire

Work Experience:

• Prefer one-year experience as medical/surgical staff nurse and/or ECCO within two years
• Successful completion of hospital orientation
