2 Full-Time Faculty, Assistant/Associate Professor - Doctor of Physical Therapy

JOB LOCATION: Hybrid (Some remote work, some on-campus work)

JOB SUMMARY

Spalding University is accepting applications for 2 positions of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Kosair for Kids School of Physical Therapy. The positions are 12-month positions with faculty rank negotiable depending on experience. The start date is July 1, 2025. These positions will serve on academic unit and university committees and participate in official activities at the academic unit, college, graduate area, and university levels. These are hybrid positions, allowing faculty to work remotely with frequent overnight travel to Louisville, Kentucky.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and teach the lecture portion of courses using online delivery, including weekly one-hour synchronous sessions.
• Teach laboratory content for courses on campus in Louisville, KY.

Qualifications

Skills and Educational Requirements

• Active Physical Therapy license in Kentucky or eligibility for licensure.
• Minimum of three years of full-time post-licensure clinical practice.
• Terminal Doctorate degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or equivalent). Alternatively, a DPT with ABPTS Board certification may be accepted.
• Ability to travel to Louisville for lab and student events.

Preferred

• Experience teaching in a CAPTE-accredited DPT program.
• ABPTS Board certification in Neurology, Geriatrics, Pediatrics, or Cardiopulmonary physical therapy.
• Evidence of active research and scholarly agenda.
