Job summary

Express Indy South is seeking a hands-on wood shop worker in the Indianapolis area. You will measure, assemble, and package heavy materials, and operate power tools including orbital sanders, drill presses, impacts, and jitterbug sanders. Prior wood shop experience is preferred and physical work is required.

Typical schedule is 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday with possible overtime. The role offers $18.00/hour, paid holidays, one week of paid vacation, and a monthly insurance allowance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year working in manufacturing environment or wood shop experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds comfortably.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Experience with wood, cabinet or furniture production is ideal!

Responsibilities

• Measuring, assembling, and packaging heavy materials.
• Operate power tools such as orbital hand sanders, drill press, impacts and jitterbug hand sander.
• Assist with production tasks in a wood shop environment.

• Looking for a position with a great working environment?
• Do you love working with your hands and have previous wood shop experience? Or maybe you are a DIY or crafter that enjoys using hand and power tools?
• Express Indy South is working with a manufacture of wall beds and closet systems with current openings!
• Position will require work with power tools such as orbital hand sanders, wood fillers, drill press, impacts and jitterbug hand sander.
• This role will also be measuring, assembling, and packaging heavy materials.

Pay/Benefits:

• $18.00/hour
• Paid holidays + 1 week paid vacation
• Monthly insurance allowance

Schedule: 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday w/ some possible OT during weekdays.
