Job summary

Pro Resources Staffing Services is seeking a 1st Shift Winder Operator in North Manchester to perform rewind operations, machine setup, changeovers and quality inspection. You will handle material, production paperwork, and routine maintenance while following safety policies and contributing to continuous-improvement efforts.

The role requires reading work orders, rotating among positions, crane training, and lifting up to 75 lbs, with overtime and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

Strong attention to detail.
Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Ability to rotate among positions and perform tasks throughout the production cell.
Crane training and certification is required.
Ability to lift approximately 10 lbs routinely and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
Availability for overtime, including before/after shifts and weekends.

Responsibilities

Analyze work orders and determine production activities.
Set up and operate re-winding equipment and thread material through the machine.
Position and secure rolls using sleds and pushers.
Adjust machine speeds, feeds, controls, cams, and stops.
Inspect products for proper profile, appearance, defects, and conformance to specifications.
Make machine adjustments when quality issues are identified.
Complete production paperwork, including start/stop times, downtime, and raw-material information.
Perform machine changeovers, startups, routine maintenance, cleanup, and waste removal.
Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Participate in production meetings and continuous-improvement activities.
