Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated seeks a Welding Operator to safely and efficiently run welding machines, ensure quality parts, and meet customer timelines. You will set up, adjust, inspect first piece and ongoing output, complete quality tests, and maintain equipment while coordinating with team members to keep production on schedule.

The role requires AWS/Certified Welder credentials, ability to pass the required certifications, and proficiency with calipers, gauges, and HMI interfaces.

Qualifications

• Certified Welder credential or equivalent certification.
• Ability to pass AWS Certification Test per welding policy.
• Training/certification completion required for continued employment.
• Proficient with calipers, gauges and measurement devices.
• Capable of performing SPC procedures and interpreting results.
• Able to navigate and operate the HMI.
• Strong problem solving and teamwork.
• Must be able to operate overhead crane and forklift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust welding machines to produce quality parts.
• Interpret prints and route sheets; plan shift duties.
• Perform first piece and ongoing inspections with precision instruments.
• Conduct required quality tests and certifications for QA.
• Visually inspect products, record production and report scrap.
• Make routine equipment adjustments to maintain process efficiency.
• Operate overhead crane, forklift, handheld grinder and related equipment.
• Collaborate effectively as a team; perform other duties as assigned.
