Welder

Location(s):

Oklahoma City, OK

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce quality products.
  • Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets; organize and plan operational duties for the shift.
  • Perform first piece and ongoing inspections of parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Conduct all required quality tests, certifications, and production checks as directed by Quality Assurance or supervisors.
  • Visually inspect products, record production data, report scrap, and perform rework as needed.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments to ensure efficiency and adherence to company standards.
  • Perform daily upkeep and routine maintenance of equipment and the production area.
  • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, handheld grinders, and other department equipment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
Skills and Experience:
  • Hold a valid Certified Welder qualification or equivalent, certified by a technical institute.
  • Pass the AWS Certification Test and any other relevant certifications under the assigned welding level.
  • Complete required training and certification tests for continued employment.
  • Proficient in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Perform SPC procedures and interpret findings to make process adjustments.
  • Navigate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI).
  • Highly motivated with problem-solving skills.
