Job description

Job Overview

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Welding Machines to ensure quality parts are produced and delivered to customers in a timely manner.

A Day In The Life
  • Set up, adjust machines, and equipment to produce acceptable quality products.
  • Hold a Certified 6G welding certification.
  • Read blueprints effectively.
  • Receive instructions, prints, and route sheets; organize and plan operational duties for the shift.
  • Set up, operate, program, and troubleshoot robotic systems (material handling, drilling, welding) to achieve desired productivity and quality levels.
  • Perform quality tests, certifications, and production checks as required by QA or supervisor.
  • Continuously inspect products visually, record production data, report scrap, and perform rework as needed.
  • Make routine equipment adjustments to maintain process efficiency and weld quality.
  • Manually repair or hand weld products below standard due to tolerance variables during robotic operations.
  • Operate overhead crane, forklift, hand grinder, and other departmental equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
What Will Help You Thrive
  • Qualified and certified as a welder or equivalent, with certification from a technical institute.
  • Pass the AWS Certification Test as per company policy.
  • Proficient in using calipers, gauges, and other measuring devices.
  • Perform SPC procedures and interpret findings to optimize processes.
  • Navigate the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) effectively.
  • Highly motivated and problem-solving oriented.
