Job Summary
Assembler III is responsible for fabricating component parts or assembling the finished product according to the customer's specifications. Must be experienced and reliable in using a welder and welding product. Secures and maintains correct component parts and supplies required for the operation.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities
- Must be able to operate welder and welding machinery and tools
- Completes work area set up
- Fits parts together in accordance with prescribed manner and in accordance with quality standards
- Operates equipment and tools as required to complete assembly process
- Prevents and controls waste of raw material
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure compliance with standards
- Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate
- Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns
- Maintains a clean and orderly work environment
- Provides basic TPM to equipment and completes TPM paperwork when required
- Maintains production records as required
- Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards
- Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Company products and specifications
- Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Ability and skill to MIG weld and operate fabrication shop machinery
- Ability to measure accurately
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to a shop environment
- Effective communication, teamwork, production, and stress management skills
- Ability to easily adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide with or without using a calculator
- Computer literate
