1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor

Monday-Thursday

Hours: 5:30 am - 4:00 pm

Reports to: Operations Manager

Reporting Staff: 1st Shift Lead, Shipping/Receiving Clerk, Warehouse Operators

Alternate in Case of Absence: 1st Shift Lead

Responsibilities:

Works with Operations Manager to develop work schedules

• Records, tracks, and analyzes daily and weekly reports, KPI’s and labor standards
• Ensures the efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
• Will go through Train the Trainer and First Aid/CPR/AED training
• Communication of daily workflow requirements to the team to ensure timely completion of scheduled jobs
• Perform duties in a manner that meets the standards of Safe Quality Foods and promptly notify the Operations Manager of any concerns/issues that do not meet those standards
• Recommend and/or provide solutions through designated channels to ensure that Taylor Logistics Inc. is meeting our customer’s expectations
• Ensures that all operations are completed in with a high level of productivity and accuracy
• Verifies that required paperwork is accurate and completed
• Should know all the clerk roles and fill in as needed

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent

• 1+ year of supervisory experience preferred
• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred
• Ability to safely maneuver a forklift and other warehouse equipment
• Qualified in the operation of key informational systems within the warehouse
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including mathematical reasoning
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to give and carry out instructions necessary for the operations of the business
