The Warehouse Operator performs various responsibilities in the warehouse, including pulling and checking customer orders, moving materials, loading and unloading shipments, and general material handling. Operates necessary equipment to store and move products throughout the warehouse.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Essential Primary Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks efficiently.
• Perform material movement tasks for order fulfillment, receiving, and loading.
• Safely operate assigned power equipment (crown truck, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, forklift, etc.) to move materials and meet order requirements.
• Select, fill, and package orders according to customer requirements.
• Attach bundle tags to shipped materials and stage for shipment.
• Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
• Work under immediate supervision.
• Report equipment defects or excessive wear; may perform setup and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

• Stooping, standing, manual dexterity.
• Light lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• Heavy lifting (frequent, over 25 lbs).
• Wear assigned safety equipment at all times (hard hat, safety shoes with metatarsal protection, safety glasses with side shields, gloves, arm guards).
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Qualifications:

• Basic measurement skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Knowledge of common warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Strong work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of work experience.
• One year of equipment operation experience.
• PC literacy.
• Certification in operating assigned equipment (forklift, Raymond side-loader, overhead crane, etc.).
