Job summary

ASSA ABLOY in Houston, TX is seeking a Warehouse Worker for a temporary, first-shift role. You will manually pack a variety of products and operate electric lifts and pallet jacks to move materials around the warehouse under daily supervision.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED and 1–2 years of warehouse experience; forklift experience is a plus. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a non-climate-controlled environment is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2 years of warehouse experience is required.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick/pack orders from customer order lists in the shipping area.
• Repack or reassemble hardware products to fulfill orders.
• Assemble cartons and crates using basic hand tools.
• Inspect materials to ensure packing specs are met.
• Unload materials from containers and transport within warehouse.
• Operate electric lifts and pallet jacks following safety rules.
• Record product, packaging and shipment data on forms.
• Weigh products and record weights on tags/labels.
• Transport packages with forklift as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on forklift and lift equipment.
