Job summary

Imperial Beverage is hiring a full-time Warehouse Associate in Kalamazoo, MI. You will load, stock, and organize beer, wine, and spirits, operate a forklift, and use an iPad to track inventory. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential as you help keep shelves stocked and orders accurate.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer skills to use an iPad and warehouse management software.
• Flexibility to work with varying shift end times.
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• Ability to lift and carry an average of 30 pounds, repetitively, and move up to 165 pounds.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Arrive on time and ready to work.
• Operate forklift, use scanner and iPad for receiving and stocking tasks.
• Review daily truck schedule and receive assignments.
• Create replenishing tasks and stock inventory as directed.
• Stock products in aisles and coolers, both by hand and with forklift.
• Learn receiving processes: organize returns, receive trucks, prepare paperwork.

The minimum compensation for this role is listed below; pay will be determined based on experience:

$18.25 per hour

Eat. Sleep. Stock Beer. Repeat: Our 1st Shift Warehouse Associates work full-time, Monday-Friday from 7:00am until all incoming beverages from our suppliers have been added to inventory and fully stocked within our aisles and coolers in the warehouse. We take great pride in choosing Warehouse Associates who can handle the hard work, take initiative to train on multiple jobs so they can move up in the company, and work great with a team.

A Day in the Life

• Arrive to the warehouse on time and ready to work
• Collect forklift, scanner and iPad
• Review the incoming truck schedule for the day and receive assignments
• Use the iPad to create replenishing tasks
• Replenish/Stock inventory by hand and with the forklift
• Stock product that has been delivered to the warehouse that day

As you learn the stocking process, you will have the opportunity to also learn the receiving process:

• Organize product that will be returned to our suppliers
• Begin receiving trucks at the warehouse dock
• Collect and print paperwork for the delivery trucks
• Unload trucks with a forklift
• Receive product into inventory using the iPad
• Notify the team when product has been properly received and is ready to stock
• Review incoming truck schedule for the next day and notify 2nd Shift what needs to be prepared
