Job summary

Imperial Beverage in Kalamazoo, MI is seeking a full-time 1st shift Warehouse Associate to stock beer, wine and spirits and manage inventory with a forklift and iPad. Expect a fast-paced environment where teamwork and initiative help you move up through cross-training on receiving and stocking processes.

You will work 7:00am start times, with duties including inventory replenishment, truck receiving, order processing and daily tasks to ensure on-time product availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
• 18 years of age or older
• Basic computer skills to use an iPad and warehouse management software
• Flexibility to work with varying shift end times
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines with accuracy
• Ability to lift and carry an average of 30 pounds, repetitively, and move up to 165 pounds
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to work a minimum of 8 hours per day

Responsibilities

• Arrive to the warehouse on time and ready to work
• Collect forklift, scanner and iPad
• Review the incoming truck schedule for the day and receive assignments
• Use the iPad to create replenishing tasks
• Replenish/Stock inventory by hand and with the forklift
• Stock product that has been delivered to the warehouse that day
• Organize product that will be returned to our suppliers
• Begin receiving trucks at the warehouse dock
• Collect and print paperwork for the delivery trucks
• Unload trucks with a forklift
• Receive product into inventory using the iPad
• Notify the team when product has been properly received and is ready to stock
• Review incoming truck schedule for the next day and notify 2nd Shift what needs to be prepared

The minimum compensation for this role is listed below; pay will be determined based on experience:

$18.25 per hour

Eat. Sleep. Stock Beer. Repeat: Our 1st Shift Warehouse Associates work full-time, Monday-Friday from 7:00am until all incoming beverages from our suppliers have been added to inventory and fully stocked within our aisles and coolers in the warehouse. A Day in the Life
