Join our team as a Warehouse Associate! Virginia Eagle Distributing Company is currently hiring for a full-time Warehouse Associate at our Verona location.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1st shift from 6 am until approximately 2:00 pm. A rotating Friday close shift is from 8 am until close (typically between 4-6 pm).

About the Role:

As a Warehouse Associate, you'll play a crucial role in keeping our operations running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Inventory Management: Receive beverage loads and maintain inventory according to VED standards.
• Loading Operations: Reload dunnage/empty cooperage for returning to suppliers, and assist in picking orders for bulk routes.
• Outdoor Maintenance: Keep outside storage areas, including the draft cooler, in top condition.
• Team Support: Fill in as relief for other warehouse positions, including night loader, to ensure smooth operations.
• Facility Cleanliness: Sweep and scrub warehouse floors, maintaining a spotless environment.
• Waste Management: Handle trash disposal and keep the environment clutter-free.

Minimum Requirements:

• Prefer 2 years of previous forklift experience.
• Prefer 2 years of warehouse receiving experience; however, applicants with good job stability are also encouraged to apply.
• Ability to lift and carry 15-45 pounds or more repeatedly during a 10-15 hour day, including overhead lifting, with frequent bending, stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and sitting.
• Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Effective communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform essential job functions.
