Position Objective
Perform all aspects of shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure trucks are loaded and unloaded correctly and in a timely manner, completing all steps before releasing the truck.
- Report any damages or defaults with the forklift immediately to your team lead.
- Move production supplies to and from storage areas using task sheets, forklifts, hand jacks, or other means necessary to keep production flowing.
- Conduct location audits randomly and perform cycle counts.
- Organize materials in the production and warehouse areas, keeping them neat and clean.
- Identify potential problems or issues that arise.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education, Training & Experience
- Previous experience in warehousing preferred.
- Previous experience with forklift and power equipment preferred.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures gained through on-the-job training.
- Attention to detail.
- Skill in operating various equipment needed for the job.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information.
- Adhere to all regulatory and company policies, including ISO, GMPs, USDA, and food safety regulations.
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to read documents, screens, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.
- Physical ability to reach, grasp, stand, walk, climb, stoop, lift, pull, and push.
- Work in various environments, with physical requirements up to 40 pounds lifting.
