Upholstery Kit Receiving

What Will You Do?

As a Kit Receiving Associate, you'll play a vital role in Ashley's supply chain by ensuring materials flow smoothly from delivery to production. You'll be responsible for loading and unloading products from trailers and containers, transporting materials between production areas and stock locations, and using scanning technology to maintain accurate inventory records that keep our manufacturing operations running efficiently.

• Load and unload product, materials, and supplies from trailers and containers safely and efficiently
• Transport materials and supplies between production areas, stock locations, and loading/unloading areas
• Operate scanning equipment to ensure accurate inventory tracking of all incoming and outgoing goods
• Verify product quantities and quality upon receipt, reporting any discrepancies immediately
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for extended periods
• Maintain organized receiving areas and staging locations for optimal workflow
• Track and record productivity metrics using company systems and equipment
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures while operating material handling equipment
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure timely delivery of materials to workstations
• Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in all receiving and storage areas
• Maintain reliable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What Do You Need?

Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred

Required Experience: Previous warehouse, receiving, or material handling experience preferred; Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment is a plus; Familiarity with inventory management systems helpful but not required

Licenses or Certification: Forklift certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire; Pallet jack and other material handling equipment certification as needed

Necessary Skills and Abilities: Read, write, and comprehend the meaning of basic communications; Basic counting and math skills; Good communication skills to coordinate with production teams and supervisors; Ability to operate scanning equipment and learn inventory management software; Strong attention to detail for accurate inventory tracking and quality verification; Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation; Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity standards; Strong organizational skills to manage multiple shipments and materials; Commitment to workplace safety and following established protocols; Reliable; Punctual; Perform duties in compliance with company policies; Work with others as part of a team; Perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
