Comprehensive Logistics Co., Inc. is seeking a Team Lead for 1st shift in Denton, TX. You will work with supervisors to optimize material flow, supervise hourly staff, and implement process improvements in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years’ experience leading/hourly personnel.
• Lean manufacturing experience desirable.
• Must have experience using a warehouse management system.
• Must be a self-starter.

• High level of motivation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Identify processes that require improvement in material flow, line support, 5S.
• Conduct shift reviews with leadership to include visual management and inventory deviations.
• Coordinate training, work schedules and assignments; lead shift transition meetings.
• Investigate defective work and advise on corrective measures.
• Develop and implement process initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and records; ensure safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Drive continuous improvement; know back-up systems and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with the Supervisor to identify processes that require improvement in material flow, line support, 5S.
• Shift review with leadership team to include visual management and inventory logistics deviations.
• Coordinate training, work schedules and assignments and conduct shift transition meetings.
• Investigate and determine cause of defective work and consult/advise as to corrective measure.
• Develop/Implement process initiatives.
• Maintain proper documentation and records.
• Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Responsible for continuous improvement.
• Knowledgeable of back-up systems and procedures.
• Encourage and promote safe working practices along with enforcing safety and workplace rules.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• 2+ years’ experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Automotive experience a plus.
• 1+ years’ experience leading/directing hourly personnel.
• Ability to train others on section processes and procedures.
• Lean manufacturing experience desirable.
• Ability to take initiative, identifying potential problems and solutions.
• Must have experience using a warehouse management system.
• Must be a self-starter.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills.
• Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Must have a high level of motivation and attention to detail.
• Proactive problem-solving ability and strong strategic thinking skills.
