Job Description

Plan, lead, and coordinate all areas of Bindery production to exceed internal and external customer expectations in safety, quality, productivity, schedules, housekeeping, and employee relations.

Responsibilities:

  • Work to eliminate all unsafe behaviors and conditions within the plant. Fully support and practice Safety Training Observation Program techniques daily. Ensure excellent housekeeping practices and safety awareness on all shifts.
  • Maintain positive communication within the Bindery on all shifts. Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers to ensure production requirements, schedules, quality, and final deliveries are satisfactory.
  • Collaborate with other members of Bindery Management to create training materials to facilitate the continual growth of all Press employees.
  • Make recommendations regarding hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, and training of Bindery personnel. Motivate staff to support department objectives and meet production goals effectively and on time.
  • Determine appropriate manning for each shift in coordination with other supervisors, departments, and co-workers. Coordinate staffing efforts to meet quality and production requirements.
  • Maintain and monitor the completion of all necessary records and documents as assigned.
  • Promote the use and implementation of philosophies and tools taught through our Total Quality Program. Encourage teamwork and collaboration with other departments to foster continual improvement.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of Bindery experience required.
  • Ability and willingness to work multiple shifts, including nights.
  • Bachelor's degree in an applicable field is preferred, with 10 or more years of experience in a bindery department.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory or lead experience required.
Additional Information

The national pay range for this role is $62,000 to $111,400 annually. The actual pay may vary based on location, education, skills, experience, performance, shift, and other factors. Compensation may include bonuses, commissions, or incentives.
